The Berea Celtic Fest and Gathering is a small, city-wide Irish and Celtic music event held each August in Berea, Kentucky, the self-styled folk arts and crafts capital of the state. Presented by the Folk Circle Association of Berea and running since 2009, it is described by its organizers as more a gathering than a festival, welcoming 70 or more musicians, singers and dancers from a dozen states for open sessions, concerts, dance and workshops rooted in traditional, authentic and grassroots Irish and Celtic music
