The experience

What's special

Cowtown Rodeo runs a PRCA-sanctioned 7-event rodeo every Saturday night from Memorial Day weekend through the end of September, a season the organiser calls the oldest weekly professional rodeo in the United States, dating to the Harris family's first rodeo in 1929. A single admission ticket is both the walk-in price and the rodeo seat, since there is no separate grounds-only pass: $28 for adults and $12 for children 3 to 12, with infants under 3 free. Gates open around 5:30 to 6:00 pm, the rodeo starts at 7:30 pm, and performances typically run until 9:30 or 10:00 pm in a 4,000-seat open-air bleacher arena built in 1967. The seven events run bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, team roping and barrel racing, with the night's top money winner across two or more events taking the All Around Cowboy title. A mid-season Xtreme Bulls weeknight adds an all-bull-riding PBR event at the same gate price. The venue is BYOB with a 12-inch cooler limit, allows self-contained one-night RV stays, and keeps all seating general admission and first come, first seated
