Villain Arts was founded in 1999 by Troy Timpel with a single tattoo convention in Philadelphia and now runs more than 30 shows a year across the United States, describing itself as the largest tattoo festival organiser in the world. The Denver Tattoo Arts Festival stop runs at 4850 National Western Drive, Denver, CO 80216 on dates to be confirmed for the 2027 edition; the organiser's venue page is carried over from the 2026 show (June 5 to 7, 2026), with hours of Friday 2 pm to 11 pm, Saturday 11 am to 11 pm, Sunday 11 am to 8 pm. The organiser's own FAQ describes each festival as open to all ages, with children under 12 admitted free, while getting tattooed requires being 18 or older with a valid government-issued photo ID, a rule it describes as strictly enforced.
