The experience
What's special
The Enchanted Fairy Festival is a family festival at Springettsbury Township Park in York, Pennsylvania, held each September and created in 2019. For one day the park becomes four enchanted lands, Fairy Land, Wonderland, Pirate Cove and a Bounce Zone, built around two performance stages and a cast of fairies, mermaids, belly dancers, stilt walkers, giants and gargoyles, alongside immersive art installations, live animals, crafts, a fairy search-and-find, food trucks, and a marketplace of handmade crafters. Admission is $10 (children under 2 free), dressing up is encouraged but not required, and the day opens and closes with ceremonies, ending in a wish-sending parade

Lineup

Costumes & what to wear
Do I need a costume?
Costumes are welcomed but optional, so plainly dressed guests don't feel out of place; on-site vendors sell fairy hair, wings, crowns and other adornments for those who want to transform on the day
Costume rules
Dressing up is encouraged but not required; guests of all ages arrive as fairies, mermaids, pirates and other magical creatures, and even vendors are asked to dress up
Joining in
Guests are invited to join in throughout the day: learn a craft, take part in a fairy search-and-find, watch demonstrations, and join the opening ceremonies and a closing ceremony and parade

Accessibility & comfort
What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.
Checked the official festival site on 3 Sep 2026, homepage plus /about, /tickets, /map-and-line-up, /enchantedlands and the rest of the Wix page sitemap, then the venue, Springettsbury Township Park, 1501 Mount Zion Rd, York PA, on the township site springettsbury.com: the park page, the Park Rules and Regulations PDF, the parks and recreation department page and the township accessibility statement. All of those pages were read successfully, so this is a genuine absence rather than a blocked source. Neither the festival nor the township publishes any physical accessibility information: no ADA or accessibility page for the park, no wheelchair, accessible parking, accessible toilet, viewing, companion or carer ticket, ASL or quiet space detail, and no terrain or surface description. The township accessibility statement covers its website only. What is published is that the park is 51 acres with entrances on Pleasant Valley Road, Mt. Zion Road, Williams Road and Whiteford Road, and lists an amphitheater seating up to 1200, walking paths, parking areas, picnic shelters and bathroom facilities among its amenities, with no accessibility qualifier on any of them. The festival adds that there is free parking onsite and that it is a ticketed event within an enclosed perimeter of the park, laid out across a Lower Field, an Amphitheater and a volleyball court. For access questions the routes to ask are the festival organiser at [email protected] (general enquiries address shown in the site header, no access specific address given) and the township Parks and Recreation department, Director Brandy Shope, on (717) 757-3521 or [email protected]
Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.
