The experience
What's special
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is Walt Disney World's flagship culinary event and the longest-running of Disney's park festivals a months-long celebration (the 2026 edition spans August 27 to November 21, some 87 days) that turns EPCOT's World Showcase into a walk-around 'eat around the world' of roughly 30 Global Marketplace kiosks themed to countries and concepts. Entry is included with regular EPCOT park admission, with sample-sized bites and pours bought per item (most items land around $4-$12). Beyond the food, the festival runs the Eat to the Beat concert series, culinary demos, and family-oriented scavenger hunts, making it many regulars' favorite time of year to visit the park
What people love
Attendees love the breadth of the grazing dozens of stands and a huge range of global small plates to try and single out standout dishes year after year (the Crispy Paneer from India, France's Cheese Beignets, Canada's cheddar-cheese soup). Many call it flat-out the best time to visit EPCOT. The two recurring caveats are value and crowds: sample portions can feel small for the price on a weaker booth, and evenings (especially weekends) get busy and boozy, so regulars advise going on a weekday and pacing yourself. Air-conditioned lounges and sit-down breaks are appreciated as relief from the Florida heat
Last time around (2025)
The 2025 festival ran across the fall (roughly late summer through mid-November) with about 30 Global Marketplace booths around World Showcase, sample items generally in the $5-$12 range, and the returning Eat to the Beat concerts. Attendee reactions skewed positive reviewers praised the variety and specific standouts and called it the best time to visit EPCOT while flagging the familiar trade-offs: the occasional bland or overpriced sampler (one reviewer's Canada filet was 'bland' and 'overcooked' for a $10 plate), and lively, sometimes rowdy evening crowds better avoided by visiting midweek. The 2026 edition (Aug 27-Nov 21) had not yet begun as of this review

Nearest airport MCO.
How do I get to EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival?
By car
Most people drive to EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. The nearest major airport is MCO, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
Orlando's Lynx public buses connect the airport and International Drive area toward Disney (e.g. Lynx Link 111 / Disney routes), but reaching EPCOT by public bus is slow, requires transfers, and is not a practical primary option for most visitors most use Mears Connect, rideshare, a rental, or Disney resort transport
Book / info →Festival shuttle
Disney's own free 'Magical Express' airport shuttle ended in 2022; the paid successor is Mears Connect, running shared and express shuttles between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and the Walt Disney World resorts. Once on Disney property, guests staying at a Disney resort ride Disney's internal transport (buses, monorail, Skyliner gondola, boats) to EPCOT at no extra cost so for resort guests the airport-to-park journey is Mears Connect + free Disney transport
Book / info →Taxi & rideshare
Rideshare serves MCO and drops at EPCOT's main entrance or the resorts. Disney's premium Minnie Van service (operated via Lyft) also runs on-property. Rideshare is the flexible option for off-property guests and for evenings out sensible given the festival's drink-forward nature
Book / info →Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.
🅿 Parking
Cost $35/day standard (free for Disney resort guests and Annual Passholders).
🚙 Car hire
Compare car hire at MCO
Optional. Disney resort guests can rely entirely on free internal Disney transport plus Mears Connect from MCO, so a car isn't required. Car hire suits off-property guests, those combining Disney with Universal/other Orlando parks, or anyone wanting flexibility beyond Disney transport but note the festival's drinking element means designating a driver

Airbnb & private camping
The Orlando/Kissimmee/Lake Buena Vista area has one of the deepest vacation-rental markets in the U.S. (whole-home 'villa' communities like ChampionsGate, Reunion, Windsor Hills). The festival runs ~87 days across the fall shoulder season, so there is no single festival-weekend surge; pricing tracks the broader Orlando calendar (holidays, school breaks). A rental car is generally needed from these off-property rentals
Search Airbnb →Central Florida around Orlando has scattered Hipcamp private-land and RV sites, but they sit well outside the Disney bubble and aren't a practical base for an in-park festival Disney's own Fort Wilderness Campground (booked through Disney, not Hipcamp) is the on-property camping option for RV/tent guests who then use Disney transport to EPCOT
