Age, licensing and hygiene

Age and ID

The 2027 ticket page states admission is '1 Entry Ticket Per Person, 18+ ONLY'. The organizer's social copy states 'Must be 18+ years of age to be tattooed, NO EXCEPTIONS'. No ID procedure or parental-consent exception is published. A 2026 local promo said all ages were welcome to attend that edition, which conflicts with the 2027 18-plus admission rule; both are recorded

Rules on the floor

No bag policy, security screening or first-aid arrangement is published by the organizer for this event

The organiser publishes nothing on Any organizer statement on sterilisation, single-use needles or ink, or workstation barriers, Any organizer consent form or aftercare sheet, Any ID procedure and Any first aid, medical or security arrangement. Ask the artist you are booking with, and expect a licensed booth to answer without hesitating.

The experience

What's special

The E-Town Tattoo & Food Fest is a three-day stop on the Triple Crown Tattoo Expos circuit, held indoors at The Haycraft in downtown Elizabethtown, Kentucky from February 26 to 28, 2027. Billed as the second edition, it pairs live tattooing and tattoo award competitions with oddities vendors and food trucks. Admission is sold in three tiers, a day pass at $20, two days at $30 or the full-weekend VIP at $50, each with a small online service fee. General admission is one entry ticket per person, 18 and over only, and anyone getting tattooed must be 18 or older with no exceptions. Many artists take walk-ups so visitors can be tattooed the same day, or can be booked directly ahead of time

What happens on the floor

Tattoo festival
Live tattooing

Pieces go on in the open, start to finish. You can watch, and talk to artists between clients.

Tattoo contests

Finished and same-day work is judged on stage in named categories, usually late in the day.

Food traders

Food on site, so a whole day on the floor does not mean leaving to eat.

Vendor market

Machines, inks, aftercare, art and clothing. Aimed at artists, but open to anyone through the door.

Getting tattooed here

Before you go

Admission gets you through the door, not into a chair. Tattoo work is arranged with the artist, not with the show.

Booking ahead

Visitors who want a specific artist should contact that artist directly ahead of the event to book; the organizer publishes no central booking system

Walk-ups on the day

Walk-ups are part of the model: the overview states many artists will take walk-ups so you can be tattooed the same day. Availability on the day is not guaranteed

Who is tattooing

No artist roster has been published for this edition, so there is no way to pick an artist in advance from the official pages.

No named artist roster is published for the 2027 edition. The organizer's event page directs attendees to a discussion board and main-page feed for an attending-artists list. The overview text is shared circuit boilerplate and even reads 'coming together in Somerset, KY' on this Elizabethtown page, so its wording is not Elizabethtown-specific

Ages

Two questions. ADMISSION: the 2027 ticket page states '1 Entry Ticket Per Person, 18+ ONLY', so admission is published as 18 and over. GETTING TATTOOED: the organizer's social copy states 'Must be 18+ years of age to be tattooed, NO EXCEPTIONS'.

Read the full notes

A conflict is held: a February 2026 local promotional video for the first edition said 'you must be 18+ to get tattooed but all ages are welcome to attend', which contradicts the 2027 ticket page's 18-plus admission rule.

Kentucky law otherwise permits tattooing a minor only with a parent or guardian present giving consent; the festival's published rule is stricter at 18-plus

Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.
