How do I get to Extravaganza?
By car
Most people drive to Extravaganza. The nearest major airport is SBA, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
For anyone connecting via LA/Ventura rather than flying into SBA: the Pacific Surfliner stops at Goleta station (25 S. La Patera Lane), about 3 miles from UCSB. MTD Line 91 (UCSB/East Goleta Amtrak Shuttle) meets the early-morning arrival and the 4:25pm departure and is free with a valid train ticket, stopping at UCSB Elings Hall and North Hall Bus Loop; outside those commute-timed runs, MTD Line 11 or a short rideshare covers the station-to-campus gap

Intercity coach is a genuinely good option here because Greyhound's Santa Barbara service includes stops listed as 'Isla Vista (UC Santa Barbara)' and 'Santa Barbara (UC Santa Barbara Bus Loop)', i.e. coaches from LA and points north drop essentially on campus, walking distance from Harder Stadium. FlixBus also serves Santa Barbara (La Cumbre Plaza, train station, and Goleta/Technology Dr stops; some runs are operated by Santa Barbara Airbus vehicles)
Book / info →SBA is unusually close to the venue, the airport sits directly across Hollister Ave from the UCSB/Goleta area, about 2 miles from Harder Stadium. MTD Line 11 stops on Moffett Road across from the airline terminal and runs to the UCSB campus bus loops in roughly 11 minutes; from North Hall/UCSB Bus Loop it is a short walk across campus to Harder Stadium on Stadium Road. Pay on board with contactless card/mobile wallet (Tap2Ride) or exact cash

Uber and Lyft both operate at SBA with a designated pick-up/drop-off zone at the terminal entrance; numerous local cab companies (American Taxi, Checker Cab, Santa Barbara Airport Taxi, etc.) pick up directly in front of the terminal. The ride to UCSB/Isla Vista is only about 2-3 miles, so this is a very short, cheap hop by airport standards
Book / info →Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.

Cost $12/day weekday visitor rate; guest ePermits $8 weekday / $4 nights-and-weekends (Extravaganza is typically a Sunday, so the weekend rate normally applies). Prepay via ParkMobile (optional app payment) or on-lot pay stations. UCSB campus parking is permit-controlled at all times, visitors buy a short-term ePermit at pay stations in the lots or via the ParkMobile app and may use designated visitor/student lots (not Faculty A / Staff B / reserved spaces). The festival itself publishes no dedicated parking program (it's a free student-only event; most attendees walk or bike from Isla Vista, which borders campus). Weekend overnight parking 12am-5am carries a $100 violation, so don't leave a car overnight

Caveat for festival use: the shuttle stops at 10pm, so a late exit from Harder Stadium likely means a rideshare back

The Goleta hotel market is small, so big campus weekends (commencement, move-in, event weekends) tighten availability, book early for a mid-May weekend
