What's special
The Fair Hill Scottish Games, once the Colonial Highland Gathering, fill the Fair Hill Fairgrounds near Elkton, Maryland with a full day of Scottish and Celtic culture each May. A Highland Heptathlon of heavy athletics, from caber toss to hammer and weight throws, shares the grounds with piping, drumming and Highland dancing competitions, a Village of the Clans, a Tartan Parade of Clans and Bands, sheepdog demonstrations, a Scotch tasting and a closing performance by massed pipe bands
What people love
