No passenger rail reaches Wilkes County. Nearest Amtrak stations are Greensboro and Charlotte (Carolinian/Piedmont/Crescent lines); from either, the onward leg to Wilkesboro is the Greyhound coach above or a ~65-90 mile drive. Only worth it if arriving by train instead of flying

Greyhound runs an intercity coach stop at Wilkesboro Town Hall, 203 W Main St, Wilkesboro NC 28697, about 1.5 miles from the FaithFest Events Complex, with direct service to/from Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem. From either airport, first connect to the city's Greyhound station (GSO: ~10 min rideshare to Greensboro station; CLT: CATS Sprinter bus or rideshare to Charlotte bus station). NCDOT lists this corridor among its 11 funded daily intercity routes operated with restroom-equipped, ADA-accessible coaches

FaithFest runs a Special Guests programme for up to 150 individuals with physical or developmental disabilities and their immediate families. It gives free Saturday tickets to the special needs person, their caretaker and/or parents and siblings under 18, plus premier parking, a covered seating area, assistance from vehicles, a changing area with an adult-sized changing table, and snacks and drinks.
