The experience

What's special

Fiesta de Santa Fe is billed as the oldest continuously running community celebration in the United States, reaching its 314th year in 2026 with events spread across the historic Santa Fe Plaza and downtown from September 5 to 13. Rooted in the city's Spanish colonial history, it blends religious observances, novenas, Masses, processions and a candlelight procession, with parades including the children's Desfile de los NiΓ±os and the community Desfile de la Gente, mariachi concerts, an arts-and-crafts market, food booths and cultural programming. The associated Burning of Zozobra, a giant marionette of 'Old Man Gloom,' traditionally opens the Fiesta season

Last time around (2025)

The 313th Fiesta de Santa Fe took place in 2025 and was documented in local-press photo galleries of the plaza celebrations, parades and processions. Attendee commentary mapping to the standard review dimensions was too sparse to characterize sentiment
