What it stands for
Movement. Connection. Joy. Hikyoga describes the series as a wellness centered festival celebrating communities around the US by combining yoga, hiking and the stunning outdoors, an inclusive and inspiring way to connect with yourself, those around you and nature. The 2026 theme line reads: a year to open ourselves up to more connection, more opportunities, more love
The experience
What's special
A one-day outdoor wellness festival hosted by Hikyoga, returning for its 4th edition on Saturday, October 3, 2026, 9 AM to 3 PM, at The Yards Park on the waterfront in Washington's Navy Yard neighborhood. The organizer calls it a day some know as the happiest day of the year. All tickets include a rolling program of 25-minute main stage yoga classes in a variety of styles from local DMV area teachers, offered Come and Flow style with less breaks and more dancing, plus first come, first served workshops. Limited-capacity Hikyoga sessions lead a casual small-group hike into a relaxing yoga flow, a 30-minute pre-fest run or walk opens the morning, and dozens of local vendors, coffee and snack stands and live music fill the park between classes
Last time around
The 2025 edition ran Saturday, October 4, 2025, 9 AM to 2 PM, at Capitol Riverfront (Great Lawn) with a 90s theme; organizer Christian Dorsica appeared on local station WUSA9 on festival day
