Alaska Yoga Festival returns to Griffin Park, Fairbanks, AK, Jul 10, 2027. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.
What it stands for
The festival's stated belief is that yoga is meant for all bodies, shapes, sizes and skills, and that yoga is a connection to both breath and body. Founded in 2018 to connect students with local educators, it aims to connect Alaskans with Alaskans; since 2022 it has spotlighted a local non-profit each year, with attendance proceeds supporting the partner (2026: the Resource Center for Parents and Children)
The experience
What's special
An all day, all you can yoga event in the middle of Fairbanks: from 9am to 6pm on the Saturday, classes run every hour on the hour and a wristband lets you come and go, choosing between the open air Main Stage on the grass by the Chena River, two workshop tents by the Morris Thompson Cultural Center and a Kid's Zone. The 2026 program stretched from laughter yoga and chakra flows to Tai Chi Gung, Ori Tahiti dance, sound baths and a closing Human Mandala filmed by drone, with Friday add-on workshops hosted at studios around Fairbanks, including paddleboard yoga with a floating sound bath on Tanana Lakes. Every educator donates their time and proceeds go to a local non-profit partner
What people love
In KTVF's July 2026 coverage, teacher Danielle Burke said the range of offerings is a defining feature: there is something for everybody, even if not everything is for you, and the festival gives access to teachers and traditions you would not find in a single studio. Sound healer Avalon Starling called it more than a celebration of yoga's different forms: a community gathering
Last time around
The 9th annual edition ran July 10 to 11, 2026: Friday add-on workshops at studios around Fairbanks (malas, henna, handstands, restorative sessions and SUP yoga with floating sound baths on Tanana Lakes), then the Saturday all day event at Griffin Park with around 29 sessions across the Main Stage, two workshop tents and the Kid's Zone, closing with a Human Mandala and drinks at Humble Roots. KTVF reported attendees came from across the state and the Lower 48
