What's special
The Indiana Renaissance Faire is a revived family Renaissance faire held over two June weekends at Johnson County Park in Nineveh, south of Indianapolis. Branded as Indiana's premier Renaissance festival and operated by Midwest Festivals LLC, it returned in 2025 and offers artisan vendors, roaming street performers, and stage acts including jousting tournaments, horseback stunts, a pirate band and other musical and theatrical entertainment. Gates open 10am-6pm on the Saturday and Sunday of each faire weekend, and costumes are welcome but not required.
What people love
As a newly revived and still lesser-known event, attendee feedback is limited. Some locals were surprised Indiana had a ren faire at all, and the horseback stunt jousting drew attention as an unexpectedly bold, chaotic highlight. Feedback is too thin to characterize the faire in detail.
