Interfusion Festival returns to Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, VA, Jan 14 to 18, 2027. Froligo tracks ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.

What it stands for

The organisers describe Interfusion as a celebration of the human spirit and a grassroots, community centred creative project in which more than twenty percent of participants are involved in creating or servicing the festival. Its stated mission is to bring awareness of a collective of practices and modalities that promote an integrative approach to wellness, and its programme is framed as shared living art. Ten published core values and guiding principles cover integrity, respect, transparency, authenticity, playfulness, community, inclusion, mindfulness, accountability and curiosity. Consent is central and formalised: everyone entering the grounds agrees to a ten point Consent Code of Conduct, a consent team wearing lanyards is available throughout, and there is an incident reporting form and a consent committee contact

The experience

What's special

A five day indoor movement arts and wellness festival held over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in a hotel convention space in Arlington, Virginia. Yoga is one of ten programme tracks rather than the whole event: the AcroYoga & Bodywork track sits alongside Healing Arts, Partner Dance, Intimacy & Sexuality, Care and Consent, Wisdom & Science, Conscious Communications, Expressive Arts, festival wide offerings and a large night programme. Daytime runs workshops from beginner to advanced with no partner required, and at night the space becomes eight social rooms with parties, an AcroYoga Night Jam, Candlelight Conversations and the Serenity Lounge running through to the small hours. Pass holders build a personal schedule in advance through the festival's scheduling system

What people love

Testimonials published by the festival describe it as a transformative weekend, praise the range of disciplines under one roof and the way people try art forms far outside their norm, and single out the community feeling: laughing, breathing, dancing, chanting and learning together

The practice

Who it's for

beginner to advanced. The festival says the programme is carefully designed for both individual and shared learning, from beginners to advanced offerings, and that no partner is required to participate because facilitators usually offer the option to rotate. It tells newcomers to look for offerings marked 'beginner' or 'all levels' on the full schedule when planning

AcroYoga

Partner work blending yoga and acrobatics. Expect to fly, base and spot.

Partner Yoga
Partner Therapeutics
Yin Yoga

Long, passive floor holds that reach deep tissue. Slow, quiet and meditative.

Restorative Yoga

Fully supported poses with props, built for rest and recovery rather than effort.

Programme

NOT THE 2027 PROGRAMME. Every session listed here is from the January 15 to 19, 2026 edition, Interfusion Festival XI, which Sched marks as ended. The festival's own schedule page still links that ended schedule, and no 2027 programme had been published at capture. Sessions are kept, labelled, as the best available picture of what a weekend contains, and must not be presented as 2027 bookings

Accessibility & comfort

What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.

Disability accessAn accessibility accommodation request form is linked from the Eventbrite listing, and the organiser asks for requests at least three weeks before the festival so arrangements can be discussed. The prior edition's schedule included an Affinity Group: People with Disabilities gathering circle led by the festival's accessibility coordinator
Quiet & supportThe Serenity Lounge is open throughout the festivities to rejuvenate mind and body, with offerings each night including sound bathing and reiki shares. Candlelight Conversations offers a slower space for meaningful conversation for those wanting a break from the high energy rooms
Shade & heatEntirely indoors, in January, across roughly 40,000 square feet of hotel convention space

What to bring

A full weekend of practice is easier with your own kit. What earns its place in the bag:

Yoga Mat
Four rolled cotton yoga mats in pink, yellow, blue and blackYour own mat

Rentals sell out and shared mats are thin. Bring a grippy, cushioned mat you trust for a full weekend of practice.

Shop options
Four reusable water bottles in a rowWater and electrolytes

Vigorous flows plus dry, high-altitude air dehydrate fast.

Shop options
Stack of folded flannel shirts in blues and greensWarm layers

Studios and shade run cool between sessions even when the sun is hot.

Recovery and comfort. Five days of partner based movement in a hotel, with daytime workshops from around 9:00 AM and social dancing and jams running to 2:00 AM. Much of the programme is hands on and physical: AcroYoga basing and flying, standing acrobatics, Thai bodywork, contact improvisation and four different partner dance styles, so wrists, shoulders and feet take a load. The festival's own advice is a personal sport towel, a water bottle, hand sanitiser and a notebook, to avoid loose fitting clothing and jewellery because they can become safety hazards, and to bring a personal yoga mat if you are travelling locally. The Serenity Lounge and the Sanctuary of Senses run as rest spaces, and the schedule includes restorative yoga, yin, gong sound baths and Qi Gong alongside the harder work

Shop links may earn Froligo a commission; they never change the price you pay.
