Bull City Yoga Festival comes to Durham, NC, Expected May. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.

What it stands for

The festival celebrates the rich culture of Durham (grounded in what it calls DURM culture and wellness) while fostering unity, resilience and joy through yoga, mindfulness and shared experiences. Initiated in 2018 with the leadership of BIPOC yoga teachers, its stated mission is a soulful gathering space for connection, healing and empowerment, envisioning yoga available to everyone regardless of age, background or circumstance through low-cost, community-centered yoga spaces year round

The experience

What's special

Billed as Durham's first yoga festival, a one-day gathering (10am to 6pm) where an outdoor lot on NC-54 is transformed with tents, a vendor marketplace and six food trucks. The 2026 day opened with a multi-instrument sound bath and meditation, ran three class-or-workshop choices per hour block spanning Budokon, Yin, Hatha, Stick and Gentle Yoga plus QiGong, Zen belly dancing and somatic and chakra workshops, paused for a panel on building inclusive wellness communities, and closed with a shamanic drumming ceremony. Attendees build their own schedule of classes after buying a single ticket
