The Long Island Scottish Festival & Highland Games has become the Long Island Celtic Festival and Highland Games, a full-day, family-friendly celebration held each August on the expansive lawns in front of historic Westbury House at Old Westbury Gardens in Old Westbury, New York. It honors the Irish, Scottish and Welsh communities of Long Island and the New York metro area, pairing Highland heavy athletics presented by Empire Throwing Club, the caber toss, stone put and sheaf toss, with pipe and drum bands, Irish step-dance schools, a Celtic marketplace, food trucks and a children's Wee Celt Land

Around the grounds there is a Wee Celt Land for children with face painting, a magician and birds of prey, a Celtic marketplace of vendors and crafts, a food-truck court, and Highland Happenings such as a Long Island Curling Club demonstration, classic British automobiles and traditional spinning and weaving
