The Malad Valley Welsh Festival is a free celebration of the Welsh eisteddfod tradition at Malad Valley Heritage Square in Samaria, southeastern Idaho, honoring the Welsh pioneers who settled the Malad Valley. Visitors explore historic Welsh cabins, a Welsh Kitchen serving cakes and cawl, choral and youth concerts, harp music and poetry, Welsh language demonstrations, a coal mining heritage exhibit, storytelling and traditional crafts. The 2026 festival is set for September 18 to 19

The 19th annual festival was held in June 2025 at the Malad City park, with music at the outdoor amphitheater from performers including Finch and the Magpies, Ken Currier, The Idaho Rovers, Bards and Nobles and harpists, plus choral concerts, Welsh food and family history. Organizers then announced the move to Heritage Square in Samaria for September 2026
