The experience

What's special

The Missouri State Fair has filled the fairgrounds in Sedalia every August since 1901, eleven days of livestock and agricultural competition, exhibits, a carnival midway and a grandstand of concerts, tractor pulls and auto races. In 2026 the grandstand brought Bailey Zimmerman, The All-American Rejects, Russell Dickerson, Skillet, Nate Smith, Rick Ross and Little Big Town, with fireworks and a drone show after select concerts. The 2027 fair runs August 12 to 22.

How it works

Gate admission is a single-day ticket: in 2026 adults paid $15, seniors $10, children 6 to 12 $4 and children 5 and under got in free, with cheaper advance tickets on sale from July. Grandstand shows need their own ticket and do not include fair admission. General parking is free and VIP parking is $5 a day in cash. Visitors who need a break can use the two climate-controlled Sensory and Accessibility Resource Centers. Campers choose between first-come, first-served sites and long-term reserved camping on the fairgrounds.

Who it suits

It suits families, farm and livestock enthusiasts and fans of truck and tractor pulls and auto races at the grandstand, with livestock barns and exhibits to fill the days.
