The experience
What's special
Momentous is an annual two-day electronic music and arts festival held on the campus of The Momentary, a contemporary arts venue in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas, and an extension of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Running since 2022, it programs house, techno, bass and live electronic acts alongside indie and experimental artists, with sets staged in and around the venue's galleries and outdoor spaces. The 2026 edition curates internationally touring names together with Northwest Arkansas locals
What people love
Attendees highlight the novelty of a genuinely hip electronic festival in Northwest Arkansas and the atmosphere of seeing acts perform across the venue's galleries, with several describing recent editions as excellent and praising the chance to discover unfamiliar artists
Last time around (2025)
The most recently held edition drew a strong turnout, with performances hosted throughout The Momentary's galleries and a mix of national and regional electronic acts. Reception was largely enthusiastic, though some attendees debated whether the booking leaned too far into niche or dubstep-heavy programming for their taste
