The experience
What's special
Motor City Comic Con runs three days, Friday through Sunday, at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, Michigan (renamed from Suburban Collection Showplace, same address and layout), a show the organizer says has run since 1989 and now draws tens of thousands of attendees across roughly 300,000 square feet. A standard adult badge for the 2026 show costs $38 for Friday, $48 for Saturday, $43 for Sunday, or $105 for the full weekend at advance online pricing, rising to $43 to $115 at the door; children 5 and under attend free and children 6-12 pay a reduced rate on Friday and Saturday only, getting in free on Sunday. A VIP FanPass at $285 adds early wristband shipping, a fast-pass line for autographs and photo ops, priority panel seating, an exclusive bag, lanyard, print and merch credit, and sits outside the standard badge range. Autographs and photo ops with the celebrity guests are a further paid layer set independently by each celebrity, not the organizer: published examples for the 2026 roster run from $40 to over $100 for an autograph and from $60 to $120 for a solo photo op, with duo, trio and group combinations priced higher. The show organizes guests across separate celebrity, comic-creator and cosplayer rosters, with an Artist Alley of more than 250 artists and writers, a two-division Cosplay Contest (Showcase and Craftsmanship) for ages 13 and up plus a free kids' cosplay contest, a Super Smash Bros. tournament lounge, pinball, and family programming in a dedicated Kid's Room. Cosplay props and toy weapons must clear a dedicated Weapons Check station, with foam or dull materials encouraged, firearms required to be visibly fake, and bows required to stay unstrung inside the building. The show suits comic and screen fans chasing autographs from a changing celebrity and voice-actor roster, families with young children thanks to the free-under-6 and free-Sunday policies, and cosplayers and collectors drawn to the Artist Alley and contest divisions

Accessibility & comfort
What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.

An ADA Service Counter sits inside the main registration area, opening one hour before the show, to issue wristbands and answer accessibility questions. The venue has 'a very limited number of scooters available onsite,' first-come first-served with no reservations or guarantee; the organizer recommends arranging a scooter rental independently (suggesting Mobility Plus) ahead of the show
