What it stands for

The organisers describe a wellness centred festival built on movement, connection and joy, combining yoga, hiking and the outdoors as a way to connect with yourself, the people around you and nature. The festival is locally owned, run by Hikyoga, and says every main stage teacher is handpicked to inspire and unite the community. Each year carries a theme; 2026 is WILD & FREE, which the festival describes as returning to its roots, ditching shoes, flowing under the open sky and reconnecting with the joy of being outdoors

What's special

A single autumn Saturday of yoga inside Letchworth State Park, with the main stage classes running all day above the gorge and Hikyoga sessions taking small groups out along the trails to practise between viewpoints. The fall edition uses the Lower Falls area rather than the Highbanks site the same organisers use in June, and it lands just as the foliage starts to turn. Alongside the classes there are workshops, kid friendly activities, a market of upstate makers and local food and music

beginner to advanced. The festival describes its all day classes as running from upbeat to slow flow and from beginner to advanced, with something for everyone. The Hikyoga sessions add a casual hike to the yoga. No level tagging exists per class because the fall class list is unpublished

Accessibility & comfort

Disability accessThe festival organiser publishes nothing about accessibility. The words accessible, wheelchair, ADA, mobility, companion and interpreter appear nowhere on the festival site or on the sister brand site yogafestlive.com, there is no accessibility page in the sitemap, and the FAQ, which covers foliage, ticket value and why the park is used, does not raise access at all. The one access relevant thing the organiser does publish is that the fall festival is spread over more than one spot within the Lower Falls Recreation Area and that, in its words, "All of our classes are conveniently within walking distance." That phrasing tells a wheelchair user that distances are pedestrian scale but says nothing about the surface, gradient or step free status of the routes between the main stage, the workshops and the vendor area, and the site is a river gorge park. The organiser also publishes that parking is at the Lower Falls Area and that entry is through the Castile entrance at 7051 Lower Falls Road, with a $10 per car cash park entry fee, but publishes nothing about accessible parking bays, drop off, or the distance from parking to the practice areas. Classes are outdoors on park ground; the organiser publishes no description of that ground, so mat on grass, slope and mud after rain are all unknown. The park itself, Letchworth State Park, is run by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and this is the park's statement rather than the festival's: the park's own page carries an Accessibility heading whose entire content is, "For additional information on accessibility at this location, please contact us at the number listed on this page.", that number being (585) 493-3600. The park's amenities list does not itemise accessible facilities, and I found no park published detail specific to the Lower Falls area. The statewide OPRHP accessibility page adds that requests for reasonable modifications or auxiliary aids should go to the agency ADA Coordinator, preferably 14 days ahead, on (518) 402-2648. A disabled reader should treat this event as unassessed and ring both the organiser and the park office before travelling
Quiet & supportThere is no quiet or low sensory space published by the festival. Separately, and as a permanent feature of the park rather than anything the festival provides, Letchworth State Park hosts the Autism Nature Trail, reached through the same Castile entrance the festival directs cars to. The trail's own operator publishes that it is designed as accessible outdoor space away from overwhelming stimuli, that in its words "The Trail is a flat hike on a stone dust surface. The Trail is ADA compliant and generally suitable for wheelchairs.", that cell service on it is very limited, and that restrooms are in the Humphrey Nature Center and Trailside Lodge with handicap stalls at the Nature Center. Nothing published connects the trail to the festival, confirms it is open or staffed on festival day, or states how far it is from the Lower Falls festival area, so treat it as a nearby park feature to ask the park office about, not as festival provision

Recovery and comfort. A single day outdoors in a gorge park in late September, when mornings can be cold and the afternoon warm, so layers matter more than at a summer festival. Classes run all day on the main stage and the Hikyoga sessions add a walk on park trails between yoga, so shoes you can hike in as well as practise in are worth packing. There is low to no cell service at the site, the festival tells people to bring cash for vendors, and there is nowhere to chill or reheat food, so bring water, snacks and anything you need for sore legs with you rather than planning to buy it on the day
