The experience

What's special

Silicon Valley Nova Dance Fest is a four-day Latin social-dance festival held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in San Jose, California, minutes from San Jose International Airport. Celebrating its fifth year in 2026, it brings salsa, bachata and kizomba workshops, showcase performances, Jack & Jill competitions, pool parties and nonstop late-night social dancing, with an international roster of instructors and DJs drawn largely from the Bay Area and beyond

Last time around (2025)

The most recent held edition ran at the DoubleTree in San Jose in 2025 as the festival's fourth year, again built around workshops, showcases, competitions and pool parties. Independent attendee reviews for this specific festival were not available at the time of writing

Getting there

How do I get to Nova Dance Fest?

By car

Most people drive to Nova Dance Fest. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.

By train

No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.

By bus & public transit
VTA Route 60 'Airport Flyer' (free) → VTA light rail~25-40 min SJC to downtown San Jose · VTA Route 60 free; VTA light rail $2.50 adult single ride (Clipper)

Relevant only if you're staying somewhere other than the host hotel: from SJC the free VTA Route 60 Airport Flyer connects to the Metro/Airport light rail station, where the VTA Blue or Green Line runs into downtown San Jose (Saint James / Convention Center stations). The host DoubleTree itself is airport-adjacent, so transit is unnecessary to reach the venue this is for attendees lodging downtown or elsewhere in the Bay Area (Route 60 also links to Santa Clara Caltrain and Milpitas BART)

Festival shuttle
DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose complimentary hotel airport shuttle~5-10 min from SJC · Free for hotel guests

The festival takes place at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose (2050 Gateway Place), which is about 1 mile from San José Mineta International Airport (SJC). The hotel runs a complimentary shuttle between SJC and the property roughly every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, so fly-in dancers staying onsite can reach the venue directly with no fare. Call the hotel on arrival if the shuttle isn't waiting at the terminal

Book / info →
Taxi & rideshare
Uber, Lyft, Waymo, metered taxi (all operate at SJC)~5-10 min · Rideshare/taxi typically ~$10-18 for the short SJC-to-Gateway-Place hop (estimate)

SJC uses designated Ground Transportation Island pickup stops rather than open curbside check the app for your terminal's stop number. Because the venue is barely a mile from the airport, a rideshare or taxi to the DoubleTree is a very short, low-cost trip and a good fallback outside the hotel shuttle's 5 AM-11 PM window

Book / info →

Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.

🅿 Parking

On site parking available. Parking is at the host hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose. Self-parking runs about $32 per day with in/out privileges; there is no separate festival-run lot. Given the venue is ~1 mile from SJC and the hotel runs a free airport shuttle, fly-in attendees staying onsite generally don't need a car for the event itself

🚙 Car hire

Compare car hire

Low priority for this festival: it's an all-in-one hotel dance congress ~1 mile from SJC with a free hotel airport shuttle, so a car isn't needed for the event. Relevant only for attendees pairing the weekend with wider Bay Area travel

Shuttle This is the festival venue itself and it operates a complimentary SJC airport shuttle (~every 30 min, 5 AM-11 PM), so the hotel effectively shuttles fly-in dancers straight to the event. Airbnb

North San Jose (Gateway/Airport area) and downtown San Jose both have short-stay inventory within a short rideshare of the venue. For a hotel-based dance congress most attendees stay in the host hotel to be near the late-night socials, but an Airbnb can be cheaper for groups sharing book the airport/North First St side to stay close

Hipcamp

Not applicable in any practical sense this is an indoor hotel dance festival in urban San Jose. Hipcamp inventory near San Jose is out in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the East Bay/Diablo foothills, ~20-45 min drive, suited only to attendees pairing the weekend with an outdoors trip, not as a lodging substitute for the congress.
