The experience

What's special

The Oregon State Fair returns to its Salem fairgrounds for 11 consecutive days, August 27 through September 6, 2027, already published on the organiser's own site. The 2026 edition, now closed, ran gate admission at twelve dollars for an adult and ten for a child aged six to twelve on-site, with a two-dollar discount for both if bought online before August 22, a flat three-dollar senior rate available every day, and free entry for kids five and under with a paid adult ticket. The fairgrounds opened at ten each morning, staying open until eleven at night on the Fair's opening weekend and its final weekend, and until ten the rest of the run, with carnival rides beginning at eleven daily regardless. The Columbia Bank Concert Series filled L.B. Day Amphitheatre with one headliner each of the Fair's eleven nights, and the organiser's own FAQ confirms that a concert ticket also serves as that day's Fair admission, scanned by barcode at the gate

What people love

The 2026 Columbia Bank Concert Series stacked Nate Smith, Alice Cooper-era rock acts such as Twisted Sister with Sebastian Bach, country names Clint Black and Jo Dee Messina, and a closing-night set from Weird Al Yankovic, with reserved seats running fifty to a hundred and forty five dollars depending on show and seat. The carnival, run by Rainier Amusements of Portland, carried a dedicated kids' area called Sunnyville on the north side of the grounds with more than fifteen rides built for children

Last time around

The 2026 Oregon State Fair ran August 28 through September 7, 2026, opening with Nate Smith at L.B. Day Amphitheatre and closing on Labor Day with Weird Al Yankovic
