Nate Smith is an American jazz drummer, composer, and producer born in Chesapeake, Virginia, in 1974, known for a groove-driven style spanning jazz, funk, and R&B. He rose to prominence performing with Dave Holland's ensembles and Chris Potter's Underground band, and his own recordings include the Grammy-nominated Kinfolk: Postcards from Everywhere.
