The experience

What's special

The Savannah Scottish Games is a one-day Scottish and Celtic festival at Bynuh's Field on the grounds of Bethesda Academy, drawing more than 5,800 attendees a year to one of the Southeast's most distinctive Celtic celebrations. The games feature heavy athletics such as the caber toss and hammer throw, EUSPBA-sanctioned pipe bands, Highland dancing, more than 30 clan tents, sheep herding, birds of prey, hurling, living-history reenactors and Celtic bands including Seven Nations

What people love

First-time visitors describe a big crowd and a blast watching the games, praising the friendly people, the working dogs and the beauty of the Bethesda grounds, which several reviewers say are worth the visit on their own
