The Scottish Tartan Festival is a one-day Scottish and Celtic festival held each spring at Miller Quarters Park in Minden, Louisiana, staged by the Scottish Society of the Louisiana Highlands to commemorate Tartan Day. Visitors find Highland games, bagpipes and Red River Pipes and Drums, Highland and Irish dancing, a Clan Row with genealogy help and a noon Kirking of the Tartans, Scottish Highland Cattle, a dog show, and living-history demonstrations of blacksmithing and old crafts

Clan Row gathers Scottish clan societies, with Clan Irwin as the 2026 honored clan and clans including Douglas, Keith, Lamont, Stewart, Donald, MacRae, Wallace, Skene and Home; a Society tent helps visitors trace Scottish and Celtic ancestry, and the Grand March of Clans leads into a noon Kirking of the Tartans

Taking part

The day also features Scottish Highland Cattle, a dog show with separate Scottish and non-Scottish breed classes, living-history demonstrations of blacksmithing, spinning, flintknapping and broadsword, a medieval camp staged by the Society for Creative Anachronism, storytelling, and beer and wine for sale
