The Sherman Celtic Festival & Highland Games is a family-friendly celebration of Celtic culture held each March at Pecan Grove Park, West in Sherman, Texas. The weekend pairs a Highland games competition of caber, hammer and stone with a Pipe and Drum Competition, Scottish and Irish dance, regional and international Celtic bands, whisky tastings and clan tents, and a portion of proceeds benefits the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

Scottish clan societies take part, with clans including Clan Donald USA and the American Clan Gregor Society listing the festival among their gatherings
Taking part
The weekend also brings regional, national and international Celtic bands, Scottish and Irish dance, whisky tastings, animal exhibits, cooking demonstrations, Irish Wolfhounds and a Viking village, with family activities throughout
