The State Fair of West Virginia fills its fairgrounds in Lewisburg for ten days in August, with roots in the Greenbrier Agricultural Society's first fair there in 1854. It combines livestock, horse shows and home, arts and garden competitions with a carnival midway, free entertainment across the grounds and grandstand concerts. The 101st fair ran August 13 to 22, 2026, and the 2027 fair runs August 12 to 21.
How it works
In 2026 adult gate admission was $10 in advance or $15 on the day, and children 10 and under got in free every day. The Mega Pass gives 12 hours of unlimited rides for $30 in advance or $35 on the day, with gate admission sold separately, and grandstand concerts are ticketed through Etix. Campers can choose full hookups ($65 a night in 2026), partial or electric-only sites, or a dry camping area for the whole fair; hookup sites fill quickly, and the waitlist opens January 1, 2027. Only service animals are allowed on the grounds.
