Symmetry Music Arts Festival

Symmetry is a community-driven, camping-based electronic music and arts festival held on private land in rural southeast Iowa, near Fairfield. Presented by Symmetry Music Arts Festival LLC, it blends bass-leaning electronic music, immersive art installations and an emphasis on intentional connection across multiple custom-built stages, including a wooded forest stage that runs late into the night. Programming leans toward wave, phonk, dubstep and forward-thinking, melodic bass rather than mainstream EDM, and it is an 18+ event with on-site camping included in every admission pass

Attendees describe Symmetry as an intimate, remote gathering where the small crowd quickly feels like a community, with several first-time visitors saying they will return. The sound systems draw particular praise, including the forest speaker setup and the Vibe stage's Void rig, and the deep wave and phonk programming in the woods is a recurring highlight. The smaller scale, late-night sets that run until dawn on the outlying stages, and the overall vibe are singled out as what make the weekend special

The 2025 edition drew warm reviews, with attendees calling it a glorious weekend where they found their tribe. The Vibe stage's sound system was described as otherworldly, phonk played in the woods through the night, and sets from artists including Skeler, Ravenscoon, Mersiv, Zen Selekta and Chmura were singled out as standouts. Visitors travelling from as far as Canada said they were impressed and would be back, and the remote setting meant music on the smaller stages ran until 5 or 6am
