Twin Cities Irish Fest, formerly the Irish Fair of Minnesota, is a three-day Irish festival held each second weekend of August on Harriet Island Regional Park in St. Paul, across the river from downtown. Run by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and billed as one of the largest and most authentic Irish festivals in the country, it fills six outdoor stages with Irish music and step dancing and adds whiskey tastings, food stands, family activities and plenty of craic, drawing more than 30,000 visitors a year

Longtime fans call it one of the best values in the Cities and enjoy the music across the stages, the Irish dancing and the family atmosphere on Harriet Island. Some regulars, though, miss the days of free admission and bigger headliners and find the food and drink pricey
