The West Virginia Wild and Wonderful Celtic Festival & Highland Games bring the heart of the Highlands to Appalachia each June at 4-H Camp Pioneer in Beverly, hosted by a veteran-led nonprofit founded by the Ferguson family. MASA-hosted Highland Games run the caber toss, stones, hammers and sheaf toss alongside pipe and drum bands, a Clan Village, Irish and Highland dancers, a kilted 5K, Highland cattle and sheepdogs, live Celtic music, food and beer, with on-site camping to stay the whole weekend

Pipe and drum bands play through the weekend, with the Pipes and Drums of Saint Andrew as the 2026 Honor Band, plus Irish and Highland dancers and Highland dance lessons
Clans & genealogy
A Clan Village gathers clans and societies, with Clan Gunn and Clan Ferguson among the honor clans, where visitors can learn about the history of the various clans
Taking part
The festival adds a kilted 5K run and walk, live Celtic music, Highland cattle, sheepdogs and Irish wolfhounds, a Celtic pet parade, a kids corner with face painting and a four-leaf clover hunt, storytellers and traditional Celtic food and beer
