Wild Idaho Yoga Festival comes to Kooskia, ID, Expected June. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, camping, attendee feedback and travel details.
What it stands for
The festival is built around two forces it names as Fire, the energy of ignition, cleansing, vitality, clarity and inner power, and Flow, the wisdom of surrender, restoration and moving with what is, and it programmes the weekend to honour both the heat and the rest as equal parts of a whole. Its founder describes a belief that nature, time and patience can heal all wounds, and the wider aim is stated as giving people opportunities to get outside and reconnect. Sustainability runs through it: the meals are plant based and locally sourced, the kitchen teaches zero waste methods attendees can take home, and the whole weekend is framed as a digital detox. The event runs under a Special Use Permit with the Nez Perce Clearwater National Forests
The experience
What's special
A small, genuinely off grid weekend on the banks of the Wild & Scenic Lochsa River, capped at 35 people and sold as a single all inclusive ticket that covers the camping, every class and every meal. There is no cell coverage, no electricity and no shop, which the festival treats as the point rather than a limitation. Days open with meditation at the water's edge and the solstice Saturday is marked with a Surya Namaskar workshop on the riverbank, then alternate deliberately between heat and rest: a Kriya journey and a Buti primal movement class on one side, Thai partner yoga, somatic flow and a sound bath on the other. Meals are cooked on site by a plant based chef and Friday night is a potluck

The practice
all levels. The festival says its yoga classes are suitable to all levels of experience and that no familiarity with yoga is needed. Within that, individual sessions are explicitly demanding: the Shakti Kriya Journey tells attendees to expect intensity and expect aliveness, and the Buti primal movement class says the body will feel this one for days, in the best way. The Ecstatic Dance session states that no experience is needed and invites people to move at their own pace
Flowing sequences that link breath to movement. Expect to move and sweat.
Long, passive floor holds that reach deep tissue. Slow, quiet and meditative.
Slower, foundational postures held breath by breath. The classic starting point.
Fully supported poses with props, built for rest and recovery rather than effort.
Flowing sequences that link breath to movement. Expect to move and sweat.
Slow, exploratory movement focused on how it feels rather than how it looks.
