Yoga Jambalaya returns to Midpines, CA, Nov 7 to 8, 2026. Froligo tracks current ticket prices, attendee feedback and travel details.

What it stands for

The organizer frames the 2026 weekend around returning to the elements, the forces it describes as shaping both the natural world and the inner landscape, and explores earth, water, fire, air and space through yoga, movement, creativity and community. Balanced Rock is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in Yosemite National Park, running guided adventures, wellness retreats and community programs since 2000, and it describes the weekend as designed to nourish body, mind and spirit

The experience

What's special

A two day yoga festival on the edge of Yosemite, run by a local conservation and wellness nonprofit rather than a promoter, at a rustic mountain resort with its own health spa. Four of the five ways in bundle a day spa pass, and the Saturday grid deliberately leaves the middle of the day open for the spa and a shared lunch. Saturday afternoon splits into a choice between a two and three quarter hour art, breath and movement workshop and a pair of 75 minute classes, and the day closes with a two hour slow movement, yoga nidra and sound bath block. The 2026 theme is Return to the Elements

The practice

Who it's for

mixed. No festival wide scale is published. The organizer's own class notes carry the guidance: the inversions session is billed as introducing the fundamentals of handstands and inversions in a safe and supportive way, the Pilates class as high energy and low impact, and the sound bath as needing no experience at all

Power Vinyasa

Flowing sequences that link breath to movement. Expect to move and sweat.

Bhakti Yoga
yoga nidra

Guided lying-down meditation on the edge of sleep. No movement at all.

Pilates

Beyond the mat

  • kirtan
  • breathwork
  • sound bath with crystal singing bowls and chimes
  • yoga nidra
  • meditation and guided visualization
  • drawing and writing as practice
  • bodywork education
  • barre

Styles named as the festival itself describes them.

Shop options
Four reusable water bottles in a rowWater and electrolytes

Vigorous flows plus dry, high-altitude air dehydrate fast.

Shop options
Stack of folded flannel shirts in blues and greensWarm layers

Studios and shade run cool between sessions even when the sun is hot.

Shop options
Recovery and comfort. The Yosemite Health Spa sits on site and a day spa pass is bundled with four of the five pass options, so recovery time is built into the pricing rather than sold as an extra. The organizer builds lunch and spa time into the middle of the Saturday grid. The evening programme is a two hour slow movement, yoga nidra and sound bath block, and pillows or blankets are welcomed for it. Sanitized mats and props are available on site on a first come, first served basis

Shop links may earn Froligo a commission; they never change the price you pay.

Teachers & presenters

Ten instructor cards are published on the 2026 event page under 'Meet Your 2026 Featured Instructors', one of which bills Dennis Eagan & Andie Thrams jointly, so eleven people are named. Every card except Brittany "BK" Kitchen links to an individual class page; the organizer's own link for her, /2026-yoga-jam-schedule/bk, returns the site's not-found page. The corpus recorded 11 instructors in one capture and 10 in another; the live page resolves that as ten cards covering eleven people
