A little history
The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of California's longest running events, with roots dating back to 1893 in Copperopolis before it found a permanent home outside Angels Camp. The Frog Jump, inspired by Mark Twain's story, began in 1928, and the two events merged in 1937; today more than 40,000 visitors come to see the frogs.
Outdoors, Frogtown has 2 ponds, garden areas, Native American bark houses, a lawn stage and a large patio with its own stage.
