Portland, Oregon·Convention center with underground parking

Oregon Convention Center

The Oregon Convention Center is eight miles from Portland International Airport, with direct access to MAX Light Rail, the Portland Streetcar and local bus routes. Its underground garage has 800 spaces and can fill on busy event days, so public transport is the safer plan then. Every level of the building is reachable by elevator.

  • RVs, campers and trucks with trailers do not fit in the garage.
  • The garage can reach capacity on busy event days, and spaces are first come, first served.
  • Event days charge a dynamic rate of $15 to $25.

Is it for you

Choose it if

  • You want to arrive by light rail or streetcar.
  • You need elevator access to every level.

Think twice if

  • You are arriving in an RV, camper or truck with a trailer.
  • You need to park overnight.

Getting there and parking

The center is eight miles from Portland International Airport. By car, take Interstate 5 North to Exit 302A, Rose Quarter, or Interstate 84 West to Exit 1, Lloyd Boulevard. By transit, MAX Light Rail, the Portland Streetcar and local bus routes all serve the building directly.

Parking is in the underground garage, entered from NE Lloyd Blvd (P1) or NE First Avenue (P2). Daily parking is $15 for up to 18 hours, and event days charge a dynamic rate of $15 to $25. Allow plenty of time to park, since the garage can reach capacity and traffic can slow arrivals and departures.

Accessibility

Every level of the parking garage has accessible spaces near elevators, 10 on P1 and 11 on P2, and P2 has a 9 foot ceiling for adapted vehicles. All lobby access points have automatic doors, and all levels of the building are reachable by elevator.

Accessible routes have stable, firm, non-slip surfaces under most weather conditions, and public areas have restrooms including family and all-user restrooms.

Confirm your specific needs with the venue before you travel (oregoncc.org).

Camping

We don't yet have confirmed information about camping at the Oregon Convention Center. The venue's own pages are the place to check: oregoncc.org.

Food, water and what you can bring

Two Portland Coffee Roasters cafés serve organic coffee, bakery goods, oatmeal, yogurt and sandwiches. Stir Bistro and Lounge is a full-service restaurant with local specialties, microbrews, Oregon wine and homegrown spirits, and other counters sell burgers, pizza and chicken tenders.
