The experience
What's special
Rose City Comic Con is Portland's premier pop-culture convention, running three days at the Oregon Convention Center and produced by LeftField Media, the boutique events company behind sibling shows Awesome Con in Washington DC, Anime NYC in New York and Anime Frontier in Fort Worth. The 2027 edition is confirmed for September 10 to 12, with Friday hours of 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and programming running until 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. The badge ladder spans a Single Day pass, a 3 Day pass, a Child badge for ages 3 to 12, a Family badge covering two adults and two children, and three premium tiers, Premium, Fast Pass and a 30-member-capped Club Rose membership, that add early Exhibit Hall access and priority lines for celebrity autographs and photo ops; dollar prices for the 2027 cycle had not been published at the time of this record. Beyond the main comics focus, the show runs a set of named recurring tracks including Anime Yokocho, a Book Fair, GeekFest Film Fests, a Star Wars Fan Experience, Master Classes & Creator Pro sessions, tabletop and video gaming, Drink & Draw, and family programming under Rose City Jr. Autographs and photo ops are a separate paid layer handled through the organizer's partner Epic Photo Ops once guests are announced, with send-in options for fans who cannot attend, and CGC x JSA provides on-site authentication and grading for signed memorabilia. Cosplayers travel under LeftField Media's shared prop and weapons policy, which permits foam, cardboard and lightweight props and orange-tipped unrealistic firearms while barring anything that could be mistaken for a real weapon, bladed metal items, and oversized costumes that cannot fit through convention-centre doors; peace bonding and a visible badge are required throughout. The Oregon Convention Center itself publishes detailed accessibility features, from graded parking and elevator access to ASL-interpreted Main Stage panels and an Autograph Return Time Wristband system that lets attendees with ADA needs step out of long lines. The show suits comic and pop-culture fans tracking a yearly Pacific Northwest convention, families drawn by the Child and Family badge tiers and Rose City Jr. programming, and cosplayers who plan around a clearly published, shared prop policy

Accessibility & comfort
What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.
Rose City Comic Con provides Accessibility and Companion wristbands (for one companion) to attendees who are hearing impaired or deaf, have a cognitive disability, are limited in mobility, or have a health condition that makes standing or crowds difficult; wristbands give access to ADA lines and Main Stage accessibility seating.
Read the full notes
A designated ADA entrance sits on NE Holladay Street with its own registration kiosk, though attendees are not required to use it. An Autograph Return Time Wristband lets an ADA-wristband holder leave an autograph line and be given a return time rather than stand the full queue.
ASL interpretation is provided for all Main Stage panels, with other panels, autographs and photo ops covered on a first-come, first-served basis via an application form. The organizer does not provide wheelchairs or scooters directly but has partnered with Northwest Mobility for rentals, noting a limited number of walk-up scooters with no guaranteed availability
Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.
