What's special
Kumoricon is Portland's anime and Japanese-culture convention, run entirely by volunteers under the nonprofit Altonimbus Entertainment since its founding in 2003. It has been held at the Oregon Convention Center since 2016 and is described by the organizer as the largest anime convention in Oregon. The 2026 edition runs November 13 through 15

The guest roster spans English and Japanese voice actors (SungWon Cho, Patrick Seitz, Saori Goto, Ayaka Ohashi), musical guests and DJs, Japanese-culture presenters covering shibari rope art and Japanese literature, award-winning cosplayers, J-fashion brands, and a large VTuber and content-creator contingent headlined by the announced 2026 VTuber Guest of Honor, Nemimi Yane. The Code of Conduct sets out a gender-neutral costume coverage policy and a detailed, peace-bonded prop and weapons policy that bans live steel, functional projectile weapons and unmarked realistic prop firearms

The organizer's Accessibility page (explicitly labelled by the organizer itself as 2025 content 'not updated for Kumoricon 2026') describes an Accessibility information desk in Pre-Function A, optional (not required) badge access stickers available at the Registration Hall or the Accessibility Info Desk, priority seating with chair sleeves and floor markings in panel rooms, and shortened accessible/VIP lines.

Attendees under 18 must present a signed parent permission and liability release form at entry and must leave convention space between 12 midnight and 6 AM with no exception for parent accompaniment.
