311 is an American rock band formed in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1988, built around vocalist-guitarist Nick Hexum, vocalist Doug "SA" Martinez, guitarist Tim Mahoney, bassist Aaron "P-Nut" Wills, and drummer Chad Sexton. The group blends rock with reggae, hip-hop, and funk, and broke through in the mid-1990s with hits such as "Down" and "All Mixed Up."
