Bio
Amanda Giacomini is an American artist and yoga teacher who works under the name 10,000 Buddhas. The project began after a pilgrimage to the Ajanta caves in India, where she saw a two thousand year old mural of a thousand Buddhas, and set her the goal of painting ten thousand of them, which she reached and passed over the following decade. Her work spans large-scale public murals, paintings, works on paper and textiles, with street art across the United States and murals in Panama, Costa Rica, Germany and Japan. As a teacher she has taught at art museums, yoga festivals, the White House and the Forbidden City
