Big Freedia (born Freddie Ross Jr. in 1978) is an American rapper and performer from New Orleans, widely credited with popularizing the city's bounce style of hip-hop. Known as the "Queen of Bounce," she has released records including 3rd Ward Bounce and appeared on tracks such as Beyoncé's "Formation" and Drake's "Nice for What."
