Chevelle is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Grayslake, Illinois, in the Chicago suburbs, built around brothers Pete and Sam Loeffler. Their 2002 major-label album Wonder What's Next reached platinum status on the strength of the single "Send the Pain Below," and their sound blends alternative metal, post-grunge, and hard rock.
