Devo is an American band formed in Akron, Ohio, in 1973, known for its new wave and synth-pop sound and satirical concept of "de-evolution." Their 1978 debut, Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!, was produced by Brian Eno, and their 1980 single "Whip It" became their only top-40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
