Bio
Edmar Castañeda is a Colombian jazz harpist, born March 31, 1978 in Bogotá, Colombia. The son of harpist Pavelid Castañeda, he began on the Andean/llanera harp as a boy and moved to the United States in the mid-1990s to study jazz at Five Towns College in New York, where he developed a technique that plays bass lines, harmony and melody simultaneously.
