The Missouri Jazz Orchestra (MOJO) is a 17-piece big band founded in 2009 and based in Springfield, Missouri, where it is a resident arts company at the Gillioz Theatre. Made up of professional musicians and music educators, the ensemble performs regularly and works to educate and grow the Ozarks jazz community. Its repertoire draws on the big-band tradition of groups such as the Count Basie Orchestra and the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra.
