The Chankas of Peru are an Andean music and dance ensemble founded in Port Chester, New York, in 2005 by dancers Walter Velille and Luis Aguilar. They perform the danza de las tijeras (scissors dance), an acrobatic ritual dance from the southern Peruvian Andes, accompanied by harp, violin, guitar, and quena.
