Kurt Elling is an American jazz vocalist born November 2, 1967, in Chicago, known for his four-octave baritone and vocalese; he has won a Grammy and topped the DownBeat Critics Poll for many years. Yellowjackets are an American jazz-fusion band founded in 1977 and led by keyboardist Russell Ferrante; the two perform together as a collaborative bill.
