Bio
Los Tigres del Norte are a norteno band founded in the late 1960s by brothers Jorge, Hernan, Eduardo and Luis Hernandez, natives of Rosa Morada, Sinaloa, who settled in San Jose, California. Fronted by accordionist and lead vocalist Jorge Hernandez, they turned accordion-driven norteno into commercially viable pop and became renowned for corridos chronicling immigrants and working people. Their 1974 narcocorrido 'Contrabando y Traicion' launched them nationally, and across more than 70 albums they have won multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy awards
