Pancho Barraza (Francisco Javier Barraza Rodriguez), born June 17, 1961 in Sinaloa, Mexico, is a regional Mexican singer-songwriter known as the 'Poeta del Amor' (Poet of Love). He trained in music education before joining Banda los Recoditos in 1989 as bassist and vocalist, then launched a solo career in 1995 with the album Mis Canciones de Amor on Balboa Records. He is a best-selling interpreter of bandas, rancheras and romantic ballads celebrated across Latin America
