Shinedown is an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2001 by frontman Brent Smith. Working in a hard rock and post-grunge vein, the band holds the record for the most number-one singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. In 2021 Billboard ranked them number one on its Greatest of All Time Mainstream Rock Artists chart.
