The experience

What's special

The Nebraska State Fair returns to Fonner Park in Grand Island for eleven days, August 27 through September 6, 2027, already counted down on the organiser's own site header. 2026 gate admission, the organiser's most recent published figure, ran twelve dollars for an adult and six for a senior or a youth aged six to twelve, with children five and under always free, and the Fair does not charge for parking at all, offering free shuttles from Sam's Club every hour starting at nine in the morning. Every advance ticket to the Nebraska Lottery Concert Series, whether for an indoor show at the BigIron Events Center, an outdoor set at TD Landing, a rodeo at the US Foods Outdoor Arena, or a motorsport night at Motorsports Park, is stated by the organiser to include that day's gate admission, and one outdoor headliner, Home Free, played free on gate admission alone. The 2026 edition drew 306,351 guests over its eleven days, the fourth-highest attendance in the seven years since 2020, despite running during the third-warmest such stretch on record with highs averaging ninety two degrees

What people love

The 2026 Nebraska Lottery Concert Series stacked Phil Wickham, KC and The Sunshine Band, Shinedown and HARDY across its indoor and outdoor stages, while a Blue Gems low-stimulation sensory room and complimentary sensory kits gave guests with sensory-processing differences a calmer way to experience a Fair that also runs its Wade Shows carnival with no music for the first two hours of Kiddie Land each morning

Last time around

The 2026 Nebraska State Fair ran August 28-September 7, 2026 and drew 306,351 guests, its fourth-highest attendance since 2020, with livestock entries, concert attendance and signature-event participation all up over the previous year
